I'm delighted to have had the opportunity to serve the communities in the Caribbean, particularly at the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) on the friendly island of Sint Maarten.
Since 2013, I have been providing care in internal medicine, not only for patients from Sint Maarten / Saint Martin but also for patients from surrounding islands such as Anguilla, St. Eustatius, Saba, Saint Barthélemy, and other islands. Furthermore, my aim was to provide high-quality care to visitors in need of specialized medical care on the welcoming island of Sint Maarten, which attracts millions of tourists annually.
Having worked for 10 years in the Caribbean, specifically on the lovely island of Sint Maarten, it was time for me to reunite with my family in the Netherlands in 2023. Saying goodbye to my patients, friends, colleagues, and the lovely people I have worked with was difficult. I'm glad to hear that SMMC has expanded the internal medicine team to ensure continuity of care for my patients.
I understand that many of my patients were attached to me and would have preferred to continue receiving my care, but I'm confident that the team internal medicine at SMMC will provide excellent care as well.

Reimbursement in the Caribbean
Although all consultations and treatments at NaderZorg fall under the regular care, invoices will be sent directly to the patient as NaderZorg Caribbean Health Service is a new care organization that has not yet been able to agree with health insurers on automatic settlement of care costs.
Please settle your invoice upon receipt and submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Privacy statement
NaderZorg will register your personal data and create a medical record to provide care. Your file will contain information about your complaints, examinations, and treatments. NaderZorg adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will not share your data with third parties without your consent. If necessary for proper treatment, we may share your data with other healthcare providers, such as laboratories, radiology departments, or pharmacies.
As required by law, NaderZorg also provides you with the option to view your own file, make corrections or additions, have data deleted, or receive a copy of your medical file.

1. What is internist? What is internal medicine?
Internist is a medical specialist of the internal organs. The specialty of Internal Medicine is a contemplative and incredibly broad profession. Internal medicine focuses on the prevention, examination and treatment of disorders of the internal organs. Internists deal with a range of disease states and a diverse patient population, adults of all ages - both acute and chronic. These include kidney disease, problems of the stomach, intestine or liver, vascular disease, joint disease and infectious disease. You will also be referred to internist for abnormalities in hormones, metabolism or for abnormalities in an examination. In hospitals, for cancer treatment (chemotherapy), you will see the internist.
Internist is a medical specialist who can provide the right care in the right place for patients with complex (and often multiple) conditions. In addition, internists possess knowledge of, for example, disorders of the heart, lungs and intestines, so that referral to other specialties need only take place when really necessary. Internists play a central role in the collaboration with other specialties, as the director of complex patients and as an interlocutor for other medical professionals. As such, the internist is a crucial link in care and also acts as a bridge between the first and second line.
2. Do I need a referral from my general practitioner or any other care provider?
It depends on your health care insurance policy. Some insurance companies require a patient to have a referral letter to be reimbursed for the cost of a medical specialist, while others do not have such a requirement. Insured patients with SZV (Sint Maarten) and ZVK (Saba and St. Eustatius), require a referral letter.
You are of course welcome without a referral letter to be able to use our services.

Your appointment confirmation will indicate the time of consultation as well as the type of available technology used to make connection. (dependent on the situation of patient and internet connection available at your area).

7. Where can I go if I am dissatisfied with the communication, organisation, financial or medical care provided, or if I have a complaint?
At NaderZorg we value your opinion. NaderZorg is committed to the provision of high quality care, treatment and satisfaction. In spite of our commitment, our expertise and our patient-centred approach, it may happen that you are unexpectedly dissatisfied. It is important that you let us know of your dissatisfaction. NaderZorg will see the dissatisfaction and / or the complaint first and foremost as an important learning opportunity in order to serve the patient even better. You can be assured that NaderZorg will always take your complaint seriously and treat your information with the strictest confidentiality. Upon receipt of your e-mail, you will be invited to have a meeting with Dr Nadery, the internist. A meeting of this kind is usually the quickest way of finding a solution. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, or if there is a disagreement? Or is the disagreement still there? 8. How can pay the invoice?
As for payment of the invoice, there are several options available. You can pay your invoice using a local or international bank transfer, online money transfer or app (such as Wise or Western Union), or credit card.
We ensure that all payment methods are secure and protected, as long as we agree on the appropriate payment method. We value your privacy and will ensure that it is protected.
